2001 3rd Place: Bon Marche Department Store - Seattle Washington

 From the Nominee:
"The toilette to end all (or for all ends) is by the far the newly renovated second floor Ladies room at the Bon Marche. You have private little powder rooms with louvered doors and individual counter space to set your stuff while you sit doing your thing. Marble countertops and great lighting, make this a highlight in the bathroom tours area. It is gilded and glowing and sooo wonderfully pampering to a poor shopper's dampened (hopefully not) spirit."

 Description (submitted by Restroom Host):
Remodeled in the late 1990s, the second floor womens lounge of the Downtown Seattle Bon Marche has been described as a return to elegance. Colored in various shades of peach, silver and gray it provides the basic amenities and more. Each of the individual stalls contains its own vanity mirror and the separate washroom, styled in a cylindrical fashion, has mirrors that extend from the base of the counter to the ceiling. The inviting hide-away is not only a restroom or lounge, but a relaxing spot for customers to refresh.
